Perryman Announces Bid for State Senate

ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Representative Bernie Perryman announced her candidacy for the Minnesota State Senate in District 14 – which includes St. Cloud, St. Augusta, Waite Park, Minden Township, Haven Township, and parts of Sauk Rapids, and St. Joseph in Benton, Sherburne, and Stearns Counties.

“We need a State Senator who will stand up for our district in St. Paul, advocate for real economic relief for our families and small businesses, and collaborate across party lines to deliver solutions that address our community’s needs,” Perryman said.

As a member of the Minnesota House, Perryman champions legislation that brings infrastructure investment into our district, delivers tax relief for local families, cracks down on waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayer dollars, and advocates for law enforcement to keep our communities safe.

“Bringing balance to the State House in 2025 was just the beginning — now we must build on that momentum with real bipartisan progress, because our district demands economic relief, affordability, an end to fraud, and supporting our local businesses. I see you, I hear you, I am you.” Perryman said. “We can and will be the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”

About Bernie Perryman

Perryman is completing her 2nd term serving in the Minnesota State House. She was first elected in 2022 by residents who trusted her to roll up her sleeves and get to work for her constituents.

She is currently serving as the Co-Vice Chair of the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee. She is a longtime resident of St. Cloud, a local business owner, and an active member of various community development organizations.

Over the years, Bernie has been involved with the Greater St. Cloud Public Safety Foundation, St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce, St. Cloud City Economic Development Authority, Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity, and United Way Central Minnesota. Her passion for her community shines through in her work, in the district, and in the legislature. She is a fierce leader for St. Cloud and the surrounding areas and will continue to deliver for the people of her district.
